The International Ministers Licensing Examination (IMLE) is a rigorous, globally standardized assessment administered by the Global Bible Examination Council (GBEC). It is designed to evaluate the theological knowledge, doctrinal understanding, and ministerial competence of ordained and licensed ministers. Passing the IMLE is a global endorsement — a formal declaration to churches, ministries, and institutions worldwide that the bearer is rooted in Sound Biblical Doctrines, authentic in faith and practice, and noble in ministerial calling.
The examination consists of 300 multiple-choice questions drawn from ten core areas of ministerial study, to be completed within a 300-minute (5-hour) computer-based session. Candidates may take the examination at their own convenience through the GBEC online platform.
Upon successful completion, candidates receive an official Statement of Results immediately — signed by the Chancellor and Registrar, bearing their candidate number, and issued free of charge. Candidates who complete the certification fee payment subsequently receive the prestigious Global Ministerial Certificate and Metallic Chrome Ministers ID Card — credentials that affirm their theological proficiency and readiness for ministry leadership at an international standard.
The examination covers ten core areas of ministerial knowledge, with 30 questions per topic.
