The Global Bible Examination Council (GBEC) is an international examination and accreditation body dedicated to advancing Sound Biblical Doctrine through rigorous academic examinations, ministerial certification, and formal institutional accreditation.
Our mission is to encourage serious Bible study, doctrinal accuracy, and responsible Christian leadership worldwide. Examination Approach

GBEC offers two core programs — a comprehensive suite of Biblical examination qualifications for individuals, and a formal accreditation program for institutions — both anchored in Sound Biblical Doctrine.
Diplomas and Degrees by Examination
Structured qualification pathways that allow candidates to earn Diplomas, Advanced Diplomas, and Academic Degrees through Biblical examinations — from the Diploma in Biblical Studies through to the Doctor of Divinity. Qualifications are awarded based on demonstrated knowledge, not classroom attendance.
Bible Doctrine Examinations
Rigorous examinations covering essential Biblical doctrines, systematic theology, hermeneutics, and Scripture interpretation for students at every level of Biblical knowledge. All examination content is grounded in sound Biblical doctrine.
Ministerial Certification & Licensing
Assessment programs for ordained ministers seeking formal international recognition of ministry competence and doctrinal integrity. The International Ministers Licensing Examination (IMLE) is open to ordained ministers with a minimum of 5 years of active ministry experience. Successful candidates receive the official GBEC Global Ministerial Certificate and a high-premium Ministers Identification Card.
Institutional Examination Support
GBEC partners with Bible schools and Christian institutions to provide examination frameworks, question bank development, and standardized testing systems — helping institutions deliver credible, doctrine-centered assessments to their students.
GBEC Accreditation Program
The GBEC Accreditation Program formally recognizes Bible schools, seminaries, and ministries that demonstrate an unwavering commitment to sound Biblical doctrine, theological integrity, and excellence in Christian education and ministry training. Accredited institutions receive a formal certificate, are listed in the GBEC Accredited Institutions directory, and may offer GBEC examinations to their students.

The GBEC Accreditation Program provides formal recognition for Bible schools, seminaries, and ministries that demonstrate an unwavering commitment to Sound Biblical Doctrine, theological integrity, and excellence in Christian education and ministry training.

Doctrinal Integrity First
Sound Biblical Doctrine is GBEC's primary accreditation standard. Institutions must demonstrate a clear, unwavering doctrinal foundation before any other criteria are evaluated.
Formal Certificate & Directory Listing
Approved institutions receive an official GBEC Accreditation Certificate and are listed in the public GBEC Accredited Institutions directory, gaining global visibility and credibility.
Examination Partnership
Accredited institutions may offer GBEC examinations to their students, providing a credible, standardized assessment pathway aligned with GBEC's Biblical examination programs.
Annual Review & Renewal

Eligibility
Who Can Apply
GBEC examination pathways are open to a wide range of Christian learners and leaders. Candidates with ministry experience and strong Biblical knowledge may particularly benefit from the Degree by Examination pathway. Institutions committed to Sound Biblical Doctrine are eligible to apply for GBEC accreditation.

The Global Bible Examination Council was established on a single, uncompromising conviction: that Sound Biblical Doctrine is not optional — it is the foundation of every credible ministry, every faithful Christian institution, and every genuine work of God.
In a generation where Biblical truth is frequently diluted, reinterpreted, or set aside in favor of cultural relevance, GBEC stands as a body committed to the rigorous examination, formal recognition, and institutional affirmation of Sound Biblical Doctrine. We believe that the Church is strengthened when its leaders are doctrinally grounded, its ministers are formally assessed, and its educational institutions are held to the highest standard of theological integrity.
Through our examination programs, we provide credible pathways for individuals — students, ministers, and Christian workers — to demonstrate their Biblical knowledge and ministerial competence. Through our Accreditation Program, we formally recognize Bible schools, seminaries, and ministries that have built their programs on a firm doctrinal foundation. Both programs exist for one purpose: to advance the cause of Sound Biblical Doctrine in the Church and in the world.

Our Doctrinal Foundation
Statement of Faith
The following doctrinal statements define the Sound Biblical Doctrine that GBEC upholds in all its examination programs, accreditation standards, and institutional activities. All GBEC examinations, qualifications, and accreditation decisions are evaluated in accordance with these foundational beliefs.
The Holy Scriptures
We believe that the Holy Bible — both the Old and New Testaments — is the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God. Scripture is the supreme and final authority in all matters of faith, doctrine, and conduct. All GBEC examination content and accreditation standards are grounded in the authority of Scripture.
The Triune God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three co-equal, co-eternal Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each Person is fully and equally God, distinct in Person but one in essence, nature, and divine glory.
The Lord Jesus Christ
We believe in the full deity and true humanity of Jesus Christ — conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, sinless in life, atoning in death, bodily resurrected, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and coming again in power and glory. He is the only Savior and the only Mediator between God and man.
Salvation by Grace Through Faith
We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Humanity is fallen and sinful, incapable of self-redemption. Justification is a gift of God's grace received through repentance and faith in the atoning work of Jesus Christ — not by human merit, works, or religious observance.
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the person and work of the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin, regenerates the believer, indwells and sanctifies God's people, and empowers the Church for worship, witness, and ministry. The Holy Spirit illuminates Scripture and guides believers into all truth.
The Church
We believe in the universal Church — the body of Christ, composed of all true believers — and in the local church as the visible expression of that body. The Church is called to worship God, preach the Gospel, make disciples, and uphold Sound Biblical Doctrine in every generation.
The Resurrection and Eternal Life
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead. The redeemed will be raised to eternal life in the presence of God; the unbelieving will be raised to eternal judgment. The return of Jesus Christ is personal, visible, and imminent.
Sound Biblical Doctrine
We believe that Sound Biblical Doctrine — faithfully derived from Scripture, consistently taught, and practically applied — is the non-negotiable foundation of every credible ministry, every faithful Christian institution, and every genuine work of God. GBEC exists to promote, examine, and affirm Sound Biblical Doctrine in individuals and institutions worldwide.
